Surfaces with wide joints: on surfaces with more than 2mm wide joints and once completed the application of Primer MasterCret, cover first all the joints with Fine Coat MasterCret using a spatula and apply 2 or 3 layers of Fine Coat MasterCret. Wait until dry and then sand with 40 grit sandpaper.

Surfaces with thin joints: if the joint is thin (walls and floors), extend the fiberglass mesh and apply a layer of Primer MasterCret on each surface, in a homogeneous way, with a fiberglass roller or a paintbrush and wait until completely dry,  paying special attention to areas with joints to make sure these are well covered. Application method

Open the container and mix well with a spatula until its complete homogenization. Apply from 2 to 3 layers, as needed, with a thickness of maximum 0.1mm for each layer up to the point the continuous finishing desired has been attained and the joints are fully covered.

The thickness of 0.1mm is attained with the steel trowel in an inclined position of 45° and exerting certain pressure while applying the product. This product must never be applied on layers thicker than 0.1mm.

With really dry surfaces, the surface where Fine Coat MasterCret will be applied can be slightly moistened with water using a diffuser spray, without creating swamps. This process can be done between layers.

The application of all the layers have to be done with short and semicircular movements, completely covering the surface, trying to  leave as less imperfections as possible. Wait until dry between one layer and the application of the next one up to the point a completely even surface is achieved.

To make sure no joints are visible, the last layer must be done in a continuous and without stops way.

It’s recommended to sand each layer with sandpaper grit size 100-120. After each sanding, completely vacuum the dust and /or remove it with a moist rag.

Once the applications of Fine Coat MasterCret are finalized, fine microcement ready to be use 100% waterproof, 1 layer of Seal MasterCret and 2 layers of polyurethane varnish PU Varnish 2k MasterCret must be applied, to facilitate its cleaning.

Efficiency

With 1 kg of Fine Coat MasterCret (applied on layer of 0.1mm maximum) 2 layer would be applied with a coverage of 1 m2. (Remember that most of the time it is required to apply two layers of Fine Coat MasterCret to attain a perfect preparation and that it will be needed 1kg for m2).

Cleaning

The cleaning of the tools can be done with water.

Packaging

Fine Coat MasterCret is presented in 1.5 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg and 20 kg.
