Application method

Open the container and mix well with a spatula until its complete homogenization. Apply from 2 to 3 layers, as needed, with a thickness of maximun 1 mm for each layer up to the point the continuous finish desired has been attained  and the joints are fully covered.

The thicknes of 1mm is attained with the steel trowel in an inclined position of 45° and exerting certain pressure while applying the product. This product must never be applied on layer thicker than 1mm.

With really dry surfaces, the surface where Base Coat MasterCret will be applied can be slightly moistened with water using a diffuser spray, without creating swamps. This process can be done between layers.

The application of all the layer have to be done with short and semicircular movements, completely covering the surface, trying to leave as less imperfections as posible. Wait until dry between one layer and apply the next one up to the point a completely regular surface is achieved, neither the fiberglass mesh nor the tiles joints should be visible.

Its recomended to sand each layer with sandpaper grit size 40 or 60. After each sanding, completely vacuum the dust and /or remove it with a moist rag.

Once the surface is preparad, the rest of the application process can be continued with Fine Coat MasterCret, fine microcement ready to be use 100% waterproof, completed with a layer of sealer and two layers of polyurethane varnish as to facilitate its cleaning.

Efficiency

With 1 kg of Base Coat MasterCret (applied on layer of 1mm maximun) a coverage of 1m to 2m will be attain (remember that most of the time it is required to apply two layer of Base Coat MasterCret to attain a perfect preparation and it will be needed 2kg for m2).

Cleaning

The cleaning of the tools can be done with water.

Packaging

Base Coat MasterCret is presented in 3 Kg, 5 kg, 10 kg and 20 kg.
